GovernmentCIO wins Virtual Lifetime Electronic Record (VLER) Health and Veterans Health Information Exchange (VHIE) Program Management and Software Quality Assurance support at VA

The goal of Virtual Lifetime Electronic Record (VLER) is to seamlessly integrate DoD data to VA data in order to ensure that no Veteran has a delay in service as a result of the transition from active duty to Veteran status. VLER Health Information Exchange (VHIE) is an initiative for the exchange of healthcare information being developed under the auspices of the U.S. Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONCHIT) to facilitate the development of health information exchange technology and standards to provide a secure, nationwide, interoperable health information infrastructure that will connect providers, consumers and others involved in supporting health and healthcare. Team GCIO is providing critical program management, functional planning, technical support and SQA testing for the VLER VHIE Program to help the VA reach its objective.
