Cloud Computing Classes

Our programs address the skills needed for migrating an infrastructure into the cloud. You also learn how to virtualize your infrastructure through open source and commercially available software. Information Security Classes

These programs provide federal government employees with the insight and understanding of how to comply with federal information security standards. This course provides overviews of FIPS, FISMA, and NIST special publications. The goal of these programs is to enable the federal government to identify vulnerabilities in systems, mitigate security risks, and create a manageable security environment.

Networking

Attending our Network+ and Security+ classes prepares students to pass the exams and meet the requirements of the DoD 8570 directive.

Project Management

The Project Management Body of Knowledge serves as the basic standards for this course. All trainers are project management certified. The courses are designed to provide federal employees with the insight and understanding on how to effectively implement the PMBoK into the federal workspace. Best practices and real-world applications are shared and discussed through case studies. The goal of these courses is to provide a foundation of project management principles, illustrate real-world application, and provide insight into the implementation process of the PMBoK.

Intelligent Consolidation

The federal government is in the process of reducing spending and cutting costs across all agencies and yet is expecting to maintain the same level of service with fewer resources. For this reason governmentCIO has pioneered the discipline of Intelligent Consolidation. This course provides federal employees with tools and concepts for consolidating programs and projects. From aligning all projects with the agency mission to identifying reusable resources, this course provides federal employees with a methodology for consolidating functions within the organization.

IT Capital Planning

IT Capital Planning is federally mandated through the Clinger-Cohen Act. With a standardized process and proper implementation, IT Capital Planning has the potential to reduce IT costs within an organization and allow for the business of the organization to have its IT needs fulfilled well into the future. This course provides a foundation of principles, insight into the development of a CPIC process, and a guide to effectively implementing the process. The goals of this course are to provide the attendees with knowledge of how to develop and implement a CPIC process, identify cost savings as a result of the CPIC process, and provide overall best practices from agencies who have effectively implemented and matured the CPIC process.

Enterprise Architecture

Enterprise Architecture (EA) is a means for improving an organization’s business operations. The EA courses were developed to equip aspiring enterprise architects with the skills required to deliver cost-effective solutions to their organization. Attendees acquire the skills needed for communicating within EA, for streamlining business processes, and for reducing redundancy throughout the enterprise.
